I'm sure you didn't tell your friend they have to be 315+ before they do hard mode again when they wiped either. Being called an elitist doesn't mean anything other than hurting your feelings if your skin is that thin. Light level helps but if the person, as you say, knows the strategy, knows how to stay alive, then the problem isn't the light level. So for OP to resort to recommending 315+ light level for HM, that's just absurd. Maybe OP feels safer running 320s.

  • No I Never post need 315+ for a raid because I help people every week to complete raids/challanges. But I have come across people calling me that just because I suggested a certain way so they would stop dying or it would be helpful for the team. It can get frustrating when 1. All you're doing is trying to help them 2. You've already completed the raid so you don't get anything unless you're lucky to get a drop from 3 of coins and finally 3. When they expect you to carry them when I don't carry I help, will explain the raid if needed but when someone doesn't want to learn the raid they Just want to get carried is absurd! Don't raid, simple!
