This one statement alone shows how much of an elitist you truly are..
If you're basing a person skills purely based on their gear says a lot about your perception of other Destiny players.
And if 5 318+ guardians could not adjust for having the 309 in their group, then that goes along way in showing their skill levels.
Elitism is a problem in Destiny and you're a part of it.

Normally I wouldn't bother in replying to this type of posting, but what ticks me off with this particular one is that the OP is trying to paint himself as not an elitist and trying to garner sympathy from the community in what he did is justified. It's not justified. If he was as skilled as he thinks he is, then he would have done a better job and guided the player through the HM and helped them get the better gear.

Exactly. That's how it used to work. High levels didn't exclude low levels but instead helped them up to the upper levels.
