Then just say no. Don't lead someone on saying they can join only to boot them. If you're gonna struggle with having someone lower than the recommended LL on your team then don't bring them on in the first place.
People will think you're a total dick but at least you didn't agree to help only to find out you couldn't do shit without a full team of high level people to lean on
