We can also see in the video a hunter being actively dropped from a ship into a designated player spawn area, in a dynamic affect, with their ship floating overhead.

I'm bumping this. It's still an issue. We know from the legal documents from the lawsuit between Marty O'Donnel and Bungie that Staten (lead writer) quit because the original story of Destiny that included every map that we've paid for in dlc up to now was divided up to sell at later dates and the original story was rejected because it couldn't support that business model.
