[b]he pulls a strange, glowing white sword with a ruby in the hilt. He slices the tentacle with it, it bursts into white flame[/b]

Nightmare sends out a dark blast and knocks him to the ground, flinging the word away. Many tendrils grab him.

[b]he beats the tendrils off with the shield and blinks to his sword, charging into the tentacles [/b]

More grab his ankles.

[b]hw hacks and slashes, pressing a button on a distress beacon and chucking it away, hoping Tara or roger would respond. He lets out a scream and charges deeper, cutting away the tentacles at his feet and blocking several more[/b]

Tara shows up. "I told you not to do anything stupid!" [i]It's kind what he does.[/i]

"I was saving lives, but whatever" [b]he cuts at more tentacles[/b] "Wanna help?"

She unleashes a magic wave and the tendrils vaporize. "Run!" A Fear monger jumps at him.

[b]he chucks the spear into the mongers gut to stun it and runs toward Tara [/b] "GO! EVERYONES MADE IT OUT, JUST RUN!"

[i]You can't run forever![/i] Tara runs.

"KEEP RUNNING! Can you do that thing, like, banish him temporarily?"

"I'll try, i might pass out though so catch me!" She chants a low incantation and Nightmare vanishes. She falls to the ground.

[b]he picks her up and runs into a nearby cave[/b] "Tara? Tara wake up!"

After a moment she awakes. "I-i thought I told you to get us to the encampment."

"I know, I wanted to make sure your still... Living, ready? Can you walk?"

"I'll be fine, I just had to shut down conscious functioning for a few minutes to avoid magical overload." She gets up only to fall back down. "Just another minute."

"Here... I'm sorry about that." [b]he hands her a canteen of water and picks her up, walking toward the barrows[/b]

She drinks some.
