Activision sponsored CoD. If anything CoD copied supers from Destiny not the other way around. You might be misunderstanding from your perception.

CoD 3 came out after Destiny and that game has supers in it as part of the game mechanics. Destiny has been around since last year September. The math is determinate. COD 3 just took the "super" concept from Destiny since Activision sponsors both franchises
