You have to stay in the smoke+vortex to actually die to it. You can walk or just jump away, if that combo kills you it's your own fault. I myself have gotten four or five kills at once with that combo and it's hilarious watching them stand there not even trying to get out of the way

You can barely jump while affected by Smoke, and you're slowed down to hell.

The problem is smoke grenade slows you. So you're slowed and stuck in 2 grenades damaging you.

Ill throw a vortex in a door way when someone is chasing me. Its already there keep in mind. It's not a surprise... And they walk through it. It's like a F'ing idiot trap. So I do my part to gladly accept their generous gift and greet them with a bullet on the other side. I'm sure that's what happened to OP. People think they DESERVE kills BC they saw you and shot at you.

Idiot. The smoke with venom slows you down and does damage. Now add that with the vortex grenade, and the perk that increases the time they are doing damage

Hear hear. Even in IB, my light at the time was 290 ish...kept getting triple downs throwing my smoke n' grenade...it was weird. Kept asking myself how that happened. Or I see a postmortem metal and double down at the same time....kind of funny. It is what it is.
