Xil broke free using his strength. Him and Lakir got into a stalemate, trading blows between themselves.
Lake pulled the sword out and took a step back. James put his hand over the wound, and was healing it with a bright aura.
J," It wasn't too deep."
L," God.... What have I done...?"
J," You can still fix all of this. Aries is the one hat has to go."
L," I'm not strong enough to fight him. No one here is."
J," Never stopped you before. You owe every single Guardian here to try."

Switch had grabbed onto the gun barrel aimed at Aries' head. S: "I telling you, just don't. we both know that you want to kill him. Hell, we both want to kill him, period. But he's asking for it. [i]don't[/i] make his final breath of life be a command that you or I obey" Switch let go of the gun barrel and knelt down besides Aries in a squat, looking into his defeated eyes. S: "You know, I used to think that you were cold, heartless, manipulative, and just plain evil. But it's taken me this long to realise that that isn't who you really are, not on the inside. You're not cold, or heartless, or manipulative, or evil: you're clever. And smart. Simply embracive actually. Lake holstered his gun. He walked right up to Aries. L," Take it back. Take back the Darkness that you put inside of me. I don't want it." A," And why would you do that? It'll give me the strength to kill you." L," I have faith that you know you've lost. Just take it and get out of here."

J: "Lake, you're letting him live now?"

L," Look at him. He doesn't deserve death."

L," You do deserve this though." Lake punched him in the jaw, hard. Enough to knock him on his back. A," Fair enough..."

Z: "I think you should go, Aries" S: "how do we know that you won't try and do something like this again?"

S: "knew you'd say that..." Z: "Lake?"

Lake was busy ridding himself of the Darkness in his system. He balled it up into his palm. L," I don't want this curse anymore." The ball floated back to Aries, who absorbed it, and had his strength return. He stood up, while Lake fell from exhaustion.

S: "just... Go... Find some way to redeem yourself out there"

Jaden was the first to break the sudden silence. J: "so... Is that it? Is it over? No more Mr evil ass?" S: "I'm not sure. Only time will tell" Z: "just be glad that we're not fighting anymore"

L," He'll die before he even reaches the cockpit. The damage to too much, even for him.."

L," Doesn't matter to me anymore... I've done my part. Now.... I don't know what to do..." Meanwhile Aries stepped through the portal, and sure enough, on a rock ledge, was a ship. As soon as he took one step though, he realised something was wrong. He fell to his knees, and could feel blood coming up. He yanked off his helmet and coughed into his arm. Sure enough, the damage had been too much. He laughed at the irony.

J: "hey, where's James and Lakir?"

L," Probably back at the camp with everyone else."

Z: "we should probably get back there" J: "yeah, let's go" Jaden and Zaaria summoned their sparrows and prepared to leave. Switch however, was more reluctant. He seemed distant from the others, looking off into the distance with a sincere look in his eyes. S: "I feel bad for just letting him go like that..." J: "Switch, that guy had it coming to him. Stop worrying about him, it's over" S: "were it soo easy..."

Lake summoned his sparrow as well. Aries dragged himself to a wall, and sat up. His pulse was getting weaker by the second. He was very calm about it.

S: "Lake. Where is the location of that ship you sent Aries off to?"

L," Just north of the valley."

S: "Right, I'm going there. You guys head back to the camp, I'll meet you later" J: "Switch, what're you--?!" S: "--Just go" Switch got on his sparrow and sped out of the crater towards the location that Lake had given him.
