The one with the staff whipped around and swung towards them, clipping Switch by the stomach and throwing him off the platform, separating the two of them. The one with the Scorch cannon jumped off and fired at Switch, while the staff one fought Zaaria.
(( For the sake of redundancy, I'm just gonna call one Staff and the other Scorch. Cool? ))

((Cool)) Switch raised a hand and caught one of the flaming hot projectiles in mid-flight from the scorch cannon in it. The searing heat didn't even phase him as he rushed towards scorch at blisteringly high speed and burying it into his face. Zaaria on the other hand had engaged in a rough stalemate with staff, both of them grasping onto the melee weapon and trying to throw the other off the platform. Both were equally matched in raw strength.

Scorch yelled out in pain. He was no match for this Guardian. It didn't fight like a Guardian. He called out for his soldiers. Instantly, Wolves got between Scorch and Switch. Staff continued the stalemate, but he had four arms, whereas Zaaria didn't. Using his two free arms, he grabbed for his wire rifle.

Multiple tendrils of pure darkness erupted from Switch's back and lunged forward at the wolves between him and Scorch at high speed, each tendril wrapping around each fallen like aggressive boa constrictors. Out of the corner of his optics, Switch saw the other baron on the platform wrestling with Zaaria and slowly reaching for the rifle with his free arms. Acting on instinct, Switch manipulated a single dark tendril to hurl the wolf dreg it was holding at the two figures on the platform. The dreg slammed straight into Staff with great force, killing the dreg instantly and knocking Staff off the platform. Zaaria however had still been holding onto the baron's weapon and was thrown off too before she could let go.

Scorch yelled at one of the Vandals not caught up in the tendrils to report the fight to Aries. It quickly did just that. Aries, although he wasn't expecting it, was quite amused. A," Lake. I think you might want to pay your friends a visit." Lake nodded before walking through a portal. He arrived at the battle site. Within in an instant, all the tendrils that were holding up the Wolves disappeared, and Lake waited for Switch to make a move. Staff had been busy while that happened. He managed to catch himself when he fell and picked up Zaaria by the throat, pinning her to a wall.

Slowly and calmly, Switch raised a hand in the direction of the nearby wolves while still looking at Lake from an angle. In a split second, a bolt of arc lightning erupted from his hand with a loud crack and violently forked its way to the nearby fallen wolves. The bolt killed the ones it touched almost instantly, even causing some heads to explode as the ether within boiled to gas under the immense electrical energy. The fallen dead bodies slumped over onto the floor, lifeless and with a stench of burning meat in the air. Switch lowered his arm and directly faced Lake. "I'm sorry Lake. I could have stopped you from turning dark if those scared idiots back at the city hadn't stopped me while I was trying to cleanse your wound" [b]meanwhile[/b] Zaaria used her legs to kick Staff in his chin, snapping his head back and disorienting him. She used the stumble to break free and compose herself.

L," Do me a favour and die quickly." Lake's whole body started to morph, until he was dawning Knight-like armour. He also brandished a small one handed sword, that was of pitch black steel. He charged at Switch. Staff got into a brawl with Zaaria, trading punches between the two.

Edited by Moot: 12/23/2015 12:19:16 AMSwitch dissipated into black smoke and reappeared meters behind Lake as he lunged. "Lake, I don't want to fight you. I've got nothing against you and I never did. But I don't understand why you're siding with the guy who killed your lover" During the fist fight with Staff, Zaaria managed to kick the baron away and give herself enough time to to break from the brawl for a few seconds. Using that time, she picked up the baron's staff on the floor and threw it like a javelin into Scorch's back, before reengaging Staff.

(( Wut? Lake doesn't have a sister..... )) Lake didn't stop attacking. Scorch died soon after he was impaled. Staff roared angrily and brought his knee into Zaaria's gut before throwing her into the ground.

((Corrected. Sawry my bad, was thinking of Erik too much :/)) "Lake, please just stop and think for a moment! You know very well that Aries is the enemy here!" Zaaria rolled along the floor away from Staff before getting to here feet and lunging towards him.

In a sudden burst of speed, Lake grabbed Switch and threw him up into the air. He raced upwards and sliced Switch across the chest. Staff pulled out a knife as they went down and attempted to stab her.

Switch burst away from Lake after landing on his two feet. The wound on his chest began to heal within moments. "So what you're saying is, you never were truly allied to Aries in the first place?" Zaaria grabbed hold of the arm holding the dagger, using her strength to stop Staff from stabbing her, and swiftly broke it by kicking down hard with her leg.

"Why is that fine by you? None of these guardians here today did anything wrong to you. None of them deserve this, because none of them were ever involved with you in any way" As Staff backed away, Zaaria got up and used the delay to sprint for Scorch's body.

Lake didn't respond. Instead, he sent tendrils of Darkness towards Switch, like snakes they lunged at him, trying to wrap him up. Staff yelled orders at his soldiers. Vandals lined up and started firing at Zaaria. Two captains with shockblades guarded Scorch's body, ready to intercept her.

Edited by Moot: 12/23/2015 1:27:31 AMThe dark tendrils trying to wrap around Switch withered and died the moment they touched him, similar to the tendrils that had ensnared the wolves earlier. "If you want Erik that badly, then why not just go out there and find him? I'm sure he'll want to come to you to explain what happened, so I doubt it would be beyond your ability" Zaaria kept sprinting forward, allowing shots to bounce off her armour. The moment she was within the largest gathering of fallen trying to stop her, she released a fist of havok into the ground, disintegrating the surrounding Eliksni in a whirlwind of arc light. The fist of havok let out a frontal shockwave towards the guarding captains, killing one of them and sending the other flying back. Zaaria got up and immediately regained her momentum, sprinting past the captain and arriving at Scorch's body.

Lake," He's good at hiding. This'll draw him out. As for you, Aries was wrong to try to corrupt you. Thankfully, he created a plan B." Lake grabbed onto Switch. Underneath his helmet, a bulge started to grow, until it took the form of a worm. The worm latched itself onto Switch, burrowing into his chest. It was painless, but all of a sudden, Switch couldn't feel the Darkness or the Light going through him. He was hollow. Lake kicked him into the ground. Staff grabbed for his wire rifle and shot Zaaria in the back, going for a non lethal kill, as he wanted to pay her back for breaking one of his arms.

"What did... What did you just do? I feel... Different" Zaaria was knocked to the ground by the shot. A few moments later she stood up, holding the dead baron's Scorch cannon on her shoulder, ready to fire. "My turn, asshole" She fired the cannon with accuracy and launched a projectile into Staff. It hit him and latched onto his shoulder as it began charging up.

Lake," Think of it as a suppressor. It'll make sure you can't use your Darkness against us." Lake picked up Switch by the throat, and punched him down. Dark tendrils suspended Switch up into the air. Staff looked at the projectile, then at Zaaria. All he could do was snarl as his shoulder exploded and he died.

A sniper shot from an unknown location suddenly struck Lake in the back of his head. The shot would have been lethal to most, but not to a dark guardian. Nonetheless, the force of the shot was strong enough to split Lake's head open, causing him to temporarily lose his influence on the tendrils and allow Switch to escape. Switch muttered something quietly as he stepped away from Lake. S: "Thank you Jaden..."

Lake healed and then he looked back and assumed where the trajectory of the bullet came from. Once he had a good enough guess he aimed his open palm at the mountainside. Within a few seconds, a large chunk of the mountain collapsed on itself.

Edited by Moot: 12/23/2015 2:44:35 AMAs the mountain began to crumble, Switch dived onto Lake, sending both of them to the ground. He immediately began punching Lake in the face, practically causing damage as fast as it was healing.

Lake was easily able to get him off. He kicked him in the stomach, before throwing a right hook, throwing him to the ground. He grabbed for his sword. Lake was about to finish him off, but he stopped. Instead, he opened up a portal, grabbed Switch, and chucked him through it. He ended up at the Guardian camp. Lake soon reached Zaaria and did the same thing.

Arriving unexpectedly back at the camp, Switch and Zaaria quickly grouped together after coming through the portal. Z: "So now what?!" S: "Now, I'd say it's James' turn to play this game..."

One quick look around the camp, one could tell the Guardians were not doing so well. Hundreds of wounded were pouring in, the medical frames were being pressed to save everyone they could. James was inside a tent, looming over a holographic board. The board displayed tactical data of the battlefield, like unit positions and supply levels. Next to him, was another frame. He was speaking to it. J," Casualties?" F," 18% KIA, 5% MIA, and 36% wounded." J," We're not gonna win like this..... What about the enemy. What are they looking like?" F," Reports indicate 23% KIA, 2% MIA, and no wounded." J," Shit..... What's the status of Lakir's company?" F," Company B is currently engaged in hand to hand combat with a special Hive unit. Supposedly under the command of a Knight named Xil. The company's casualties are high." J," What about company's A, C, and D?" F," Company A is having trouble with a joint force of Hive and Fallen troops. Company C is pinned down at the river by Fallen sharpshooters. They can't advance. Company D is still under heavy fire by artillery." J," Do we have any Intel on enemy movements?" F," Company C reports seeing Ogres being moved into position against company A. Also Dark Guardian Lake was been spotted at company B's battle site." J,"...." F," Do you require more information sir?" J," I'm heading into the battlefield. Inform Lakir." F," But sit, you are needed here to direct the army." J," Find somebody else to do it!" James walked out of the tent.

Shortly after exiting the tent, James was met by Switch and Zaaria. S: "Glad to finally see you, James. I thought you would already be at the front lines by now" Z: "Never mind that, how's our general situation going right now?"
