Destiny and Drug use
I'm sorry, I might go into a bit of a rant here.
But I've been noticing a trend recently where in every party I join there is at least one and usually multiple people telling tall tails about how high they are.
Now honestly, I don't care that you use whatever. Some of the people I regularly play with do some type of drug or another.
What baffles me is how some people tend to think they're somehow badasses for having the ability to pop a pill in their mouths. Nobody cares that it's "legal in your state". I'm from holland, do you think we go around advertising our drug use to every random person we meet? Not only does it make you look kind of dumb, but do you even realize there's also younger kids playing this game that might actually think it's kinda cool that you get to stay home all day, smoke weed and play video games while you're ignoring your crying child in the background?
I hate to be that guy, but damn, show some dignity.

1 ReplyI don't experience this much at all, occasionally I'll have someone say they need to take a hit but it isn't often. For me I smoke weed sometimes (when I have it), but I certainly don't advertise it, I just wait for a lull in whatever activity I'm doing, mute my mic and do my thing without saying anything to anyone, or sometimes if I have to pack the bowl I just lie and say I'm going to the bathroom. If I'm asked directly if I smoke I don't lie about it, but it just seems silly to flaunt something that's so inconsequential, it certainly doesn't make me a badass for smoking. I'm neither proud nor ashamed of smoking, just happy that I have something nice and relatively harmless that I enjoy and makes games and such more fun.

To be completely honest, if you do not smoke weed here and there then you're doing it wrong. Let's take a step back and look at the millions of people out drinking and driving. Alcohol takes lives, weed is like taking a Xanax, mellows you out but no pills needed. Worry about yourself dude, because no one gives a shit what you say.

1 ReplyOmg this pisses me off so much. And not just with drugs, people brag about alcohol and sex as well. I always think if they are bragging about it non stop it must be like their first time or a very special occasion to them that they have to let EVERYONE know!

And I have to take pain meds for my neck injury, no I'm not proud of it I hate it but I have to have it and lastly I am addicted to them now.I shouldn't have even commented on this.I know what ur saying tho.keep this in mind if it doesn't effect u in ur life let them do whatever.it's easy to judge when u don't have somebody shifting threw ur life.everybody on this planet does something somebody else doesn't approve of.TO EACH THERE OWN. Worry about yourself and not everyone else.also about the other kids u mention,if the parents did their job, you know actually raising them and teaching them right from wrong that would be irrelevant. Sorry man I'm not smashing on you u do have some points but this issue irritates the hell out of me.

I make it a thing to ask every new gamer I play with on all platforms and games and straight up ask before we even start actually playing and talking if they are for or against me smoking while I play. I know that some people don't want to hear you choke out in their ear none stop lol. Plus it's out of respect.

When you hear an alcoholic always talking about booze you think "wow, what a loser. He cant live off the sauce." Then the same person talks about pot all day long, every single day and has to get high before he does anything. Hmmmmmm. I think the op meant yeah, we get it. I agree with you they are dumb, it seems one person in my fire team in the raid is stoned and yes they think they are cool but in reality they are losers that want attention.

you dont just "pop a weed pill" you "pop" advil, benzos, ibuprof, pills sir, pills. legal in our states recognizes marijuana not as a drug, but medicine. people use it more vicariously than others. recreation or medical. smokers share their experiences because there are quite a few others who do too and interact, not a big deal. if you cant stand to hear it mute them or leave. free will on your end and theirs.

If they have the mental capacity of a tic tac and cough into my ears every 6 seconds, then that's not cool. But if they just go with the flow then I'm chill with it. Definitely not something I would waste my time with though.
