Destiny and Drug use
I'm sorry, I might go into a bit of a rant here.
But I've been noticing a trend recently where in every party I join there is at least one and usually multiple people telling tall tails about how high they are.
Now honestly, I don't care that you use whatever. Some of the people I regularly play with do some type of drug or another.
What baffles me is how some people tend to think they're somehow badasses for having the ability to pop a pill in their mouths. Nobody cares that it's "legal in your state". I'm from holland, do you think we go around advertising our drug use to every random person we meet? Not only does it make you look kind of dumb, but do you even realize there's also younger kids playing this game that might actually think it's kinda cool that you get to stay home all day, smoke weed and play video games while you're ignoring your crying child in the background?
I hate to be that guy, but damn, show some dignity.

1 Replyit's pretty understandable. marijuana in the US is transitioning from controlled substance to recreational. people have always smoked pot, & now it's leaning towards being socially acceptable, so of course people are going to talk about it. if it bothers you, mute & move on.

Now that chip chewing or lip smacking over the mic. That I got a problem with. Just cause weed is a gateway to your fridge or snacks doesn't mean I need to hear you eating them.

Not sure what sort of drugs you're referring to.. But "legal in my state" usually and (lately) applies to marijuana, since it's getting legalized steadily across the country. That being said... That's USUALLY not a pill. There are capsule forms one can take, but im fairly certain that it doesn't contain THC, just CBD.

What's funny (actually sad really), is most of the people who responded with "It makes me play better", "It's my lifstyle, don't tell me what to do" or "It's the the only way I can play Destiny now", are the ones obviously "on the pot" (lol), and they [b]COMPLETELY[/b] missed the point of this post.

And the little one often wakes when we are about to go ape s**t on a boss... But the team are awesome... So understanding... They just wait until I'm back. Don't know any of these guys personally either. I don't get high... But I don't begrudge ppl that do... Although if their kid was screaming in the background I'd be the first one to say something.... It's not so much the smoking or talking about smoking that annoys me, more so the munchies that entail lol. Trying to beat oryx then someone says "hold on, I'm gonna eat some ice cream."....10 minutes later try again and fail a couple times... Then 'crunch crunch crunch' 'guardian down'. "Just open and eat your bag of chips, and we'll be back in 10 minutes again."....10 minutes later, try and fail...and sure enough-"I'll be back in 30 minutes, gotta run to mcdonalds, I'm starving!"...........really? What was the purpose of the ice cream and chips?? This is the usual case if I use lfg and ,needless to say, we never end up finishing a raid.
