Zean crouched behind the rock ledge, peering through a bush at the strange anomaly occurring before him. The entire field, covered in the waste of old rockets and airplanes and crashed skiffs and colony ships, was twinkling with light. All the flight technology abandoned in these mothyards at the edge of the cliff was once considered pinnacle engineering. Zean had seen this place multiple times, as its mysteriousness spoke to him, while also giving him peace. But today was different. It was if someone had jump started it like one might start a broken sparrow, and all the old light flickered, and old engines whirred to life. Zean glanced upward and noticed a ridge far above him up the mountain, lined with a row of Vandals, flanked by a Walker. They too seemed to watch the impossible scene with the awe as Zean. "Of course" thought Zean. "They've know this place longer than I have. This must be even weirder for them." He tried to slip over the ridge quietly, or as quietly as a Titan can. But It was no use. The Vandals saw him. They began scrambling down the ridge, as the Walker began to rotate in his direction. He just needed to get some info out. He was halfway to the closest rocket when he realized he didn't have his ghost. Pynas was back at the Tower for maintenance, after he got hit straight on with a Goliath tank rocket. He probably shouldn't have run this patrol, but he was so indecisive at this point he simply didn't care. So he ran straight on towards the rocket, hoping to grab some piece of hardware that would explain why all this technology was reviving itself. He started hacking away at the control panel of the rocket with a piece of snap metal, wishing he had a knife he pried the piece out, turned around, and heard the familiar sound of a Walker priming a missile before the world seemed to explode around him. With a small bit of strength before he collapsed, he managed to activate his Ward of Dawn, right before s second missile slammed into it. Zean could already hear the faint whining sound of his Ward dying out, and activated the emergency location transmitter on his helmet before dragging himself over the cliff, away from the Vandals, clutching the piece of tech, towards the black icy waters below, hoping someone would heed his call. (Open) Feel free to take it anywhere, I don't really have a next step yet.
