YES, I like the way it's going. Here's the why.
PVP: You said it yourself:
I personally think the biggest problem with Weapon Balancing in our PvP community is us
I don't have an issue with the weapon patches, honestly I don't. In fact, I barely notice them. The "meta" seems more like a psychological phenomenon to me, as everyone uses what "everyone is using".
I find the new game modes exciting and entertaining, and I like Lord Shaxx's bounties as they give me a shot at unique gear without having to go into the Trials (which I'm not a big fan of).
Sparrow Racing has been a great break (although I've detected a certain pattern, where one rider breaks out in front and the other 5 compete viciously for 2nd place). Those who are spending tons of silver on $1 bags hoping to get a Sparrow are just being fools to themselves, when they could buy the $5 kit and get one guaranteed- just as they could have bought the bag at Halloween which contained a guaranteed skull mask. If you're going to play it cheap and gamble, you have a chance of not getting what you want. That's your choice. I don't blame Bungie for allowing suckers to be suckers.
PvE: I enjoy the new strikes, and I don't really miss Phogoth or the Nexis Mind (two of the most cheese-able strikes ever created); nor do I much miss hearing "A cell! From the Prison of Elders!!"
Communication: I don't need Bungie to tell me much. And while I'm sure they read what we write, they're wise not to give us more than 5% of what we ask for.
Atheon randomly teleporting people was a good example of the game improving, not getting worse- even if "the community" didn't want it. One of the reasons the Crota raid was despised was because it had a specialist role, the sword-runner; and it was possible to do the raid hundreds of times without ever learning that role. I've done it myself. But you can't run VoG without knowing how to kill Oracles as well as how to open the Gates. You have to be a better player to run VoG.
That's why the Sisters part of the Oryx raid is one of the best parts, in my opinion; the fact that anyone can become torn, at any time, and become the relic runner, means that every member of the raid team must be skilled at running the platforms and using the relic, as well as using the Aura afterward. I almost could wish that this continued through to the Oryx segment; but then nobody would run the raid. We now have "Relic runners" just as we had sword-runners for Crota. And the longer it goes on, the less chance that I'll do it, because people are more focused on completing the raid as opposed to letting the noob get a new experience. Unless the game forces them to do so.
TL:DR; I think it's getting better and better. I can't wait for what's next.

Edited by x7L7x: 12/20/2015 9:32:42 AMThanks for your input and actually taking time to read my monster of a post! I brought up Atheon because their reasoning behind making the teleports random was so everyone could learn the roles. I agree with that! I love the random teleports now! My point was... well.. exactly what you said! In CE they went completely against their justification for random teleports by relying on one guy to do the damage. When you think about it Crota is the exact opposite of the Templar. Templar: 1 person breaks shield. Team does damage. Crota: Team breaks shield. 1 guy damages. It was a step backwards in my opinion which is why I had brought it up. Thanks again for sharing guardian!

Crota: Team breaks shield. 1 guy damages.
Hadn't thought of it that way before, but you're 100% right. One more example of what made the Vault a superior raid. Since you put the example of the Atheon fight under "communication" as an example of how "we" asked for something but didn't get it (not me, though- I hadn't done the raid by that point, nor was I on the forum, I came in when there were already random teleports) it seemed like a criticism in some way. As I read it again I'm corrected somewhat. You used it as an example of how there was more communication in the past. Thing is, the past was when the trolls hadn't yet taken over the forum and any post from DeeJ wasn't met with an instant flood of 500 "-blam- you DeeJ!" replies. The past was when Bunjie wasn't viewed as an evil empire bent on sucking all our cash away. The past was before there was a a stream of posts every day about how much Destiny sucks, from players with 2000 hours logged. The past was when we all got along. I was wondering last night why the forum seemed dead lately, and then I realized- it's because I recently added about 200 names to my mute list because they replied to some troll bait of mine. It's not that nobody's here; it's that nobody's here that I want to hear from. I'm not the least bit surprised at DeeJ and Cozmo's absence. I don't go where I'm not wanted, either.

Well you seem like a great guardian to me! Thanks for sharing your opinions with me. I whole hartedly agree with you. Are you on xbox? We should party up and talk more. My Gt is the same as my screen name!

You flatter me, and likewise! But the sad, sad truth of the matter is that I'm on Sony's console and that is not set to change anytime soon. But I will keep an eye out for you here, and maybe we can be a force for good in some small way here. A light in a dark place.

Sounds great to me guardian.
