I thought the entrance to the templar dosnt open if you dont complete the spire

It does but it is undoubtably considered a cheese, you spawn in to the starting point of VoG, wait a brief second until it says the spire is forming then sparrow quickly to the right into the Campus, wait for about a minute or so, then head back out and if done right the spire will be formed and the vault open

Sure, but the point of this post is about soloing VoG not so much about doing it I the shortest amount of time or flawlessly. Back in the early days being able to get into the vault solo was about getting the materials from the first chest in order to upgrade your gear, because the struggle was real trying to upgrade legendary gear
