Do You Fear Death?

Do you fear death? Personally, I don't fear it at all. But I do, however, fear the way I'll go out. Burning alive or dying of a disease doesn't sound good. Dying, in some cases, is peaceful. When my great aunt passed away this year, she was happy and grateful. Then she went to sleep and just slipped away, I guess. That's how I would like to go out. EDIT: I can offer you salvation. 100 years of service before the mast...

 • It depends what you mean by fear I suppose. It's the end, so I don't see why any happy person would ever look forward to it, yet it is an inevitability that every living being will face. It is the only certainty once you are born. Also do you mean; do I fear my death, or the death of others? I suppose the honest answer is yes, I fear the time when those I love are gone, I fear the time when I am gone with all chances and experiences over. It is a shame in ways that I am unable to accept religion, the consolidation that offers on death is immense. If I believed that, I could not fear death, it would be more like birth.
