Lake sank to his knees. He was broken at this point.

A voice called out to him in his head. It was drawing him in, promising him a brighter future. It promised him the power to bring back the one he loved.
His Light was diminishing. It was being replaced with something much darker. And he let it happen.
" I ought to rip you into pieces."
