She paused in though for a moment, looking down to the ground and gazing upon a lone dragonfly perched on some blades of grass. "...when was the last time you were back at the last city?"

Korvic put his hand up to his chin, thinking back to when he last remembered being inside the walls. "Hmm..... About a month or so, I'd say."

"Ah..." Zaaria's expression began to sink, becoming more sympathetic and sorry than before. "... So you haven't heard the news then?"

"The city was attacked just a couple of days ago. A quarter to a half of all the city's landmarks have been badly damaged in some way, shape or form, and the civilian death toll is in the thousands. And rising... Guardian casualties are also high"
