Sure but the level of toxicity increased 1,000% percent (rounding) after trials became a thing. I think it's great to have a game mode that the ultra elite can play and compete in. I think it was poor judgment on Bungie's part to offer flawless rewards though. It brings more crying, more nerf requests, more pressure to play perfect and use the single best gun only while playing (the easiest gun to kill with) ... Etc.
Iron banner was cool because you could just go -blam!- around with different weapons and have a good time. Have some variety, use different setups and armor. This format makes people buy lag switches, and use 1000 yard stare 80% of the time... It's retarded.

I can agree with that, but the rush and feeling of accomplishment isn't the same really. In Trials you have to think tactically, work as a team a lot more etc. Sure you need to work as a team in IB but not to the same degree. In Trials every death matters, be it because you leave your team 1 man down until the revive, the res sniping or simply helping charge the enemy's supers, it's definitely more demanding.

Of course it is, I agree completely, and that's why I think it should stay.. add it to the crucible playlist. For those that really enjoy that style of play, I would hate to see it taken away. But if people are playing it only for the flawless rewards and need to win every single game, that's the problem. Take the flawless element out. Then see how things change.. if people care so much about needing to use crest of alpha lupi and 1,000 yard stare every match... Iron banner was approachable for all, trials is not. That's the key. It only causes a huge divide in the community, leads to crying about weapon fairness, and I'm shocked that bungie has not seen this.

Same difference between raids and strikes...or even hard raid and normal raid. Not a lot of variety there either, which brings me back to my initial point I made on this overall thread earlier - When bungie balances, they never truly balance, they just made something else better than the rest/everyone worse than 1 thing. Lets face it, Hard Mode Sisters and Oryx CPs...what's your load out? Touch of Malice, sniper with raid LMG? For the Warpriest and Goloroth CPs...what's your load out? Scout rifle (hung jury or doom, right?), Black Spindle/1k yrd Stare with Raid LMG? Seeing a pattern here? lol

I definitely can't disagree. I feel like trials is the extreme of what the bungie community hates about, well, the minority player base that makes up the community; but I also agree that variety is sorely lacking.. calling it weapons balance to be able to use different guns.. or just more content / creative guns fitting the content.. Idk. Ugh.

And now you see the underlying issue lol. Bungie's attempts to balance never truly strike a balance..they literally make something so bad that people can't complain about being killed by it, then in the process make something else OP...and then we start again. A good example of this is the Hand Cannon Nerf when TTK dropped. Pulse Rifles were really strong since Dark Blows weapons patch....they just went under the radar. HCs went down the tube, next meta was PRs. Thing is, PRs were my meta since Dark Blows (Three little words anyone? :D ).

Yep, I've always said that they do it on purpose... just to keep things new and interesting.... because they can't be this bad at it lol.

Yeah we'll just go with that...cos denial is the ultimate placebo lol
