Just happened. Literally. I'm in first, at least a full 5 seconds ahead, and it happens... I hit the last gate and it projects me completely sideways at full speed. I try to re-adjust, I try to pull out of it, but Bungie's not having it. I hit a rock, I would say cantaloupe size, and slide on my helmet into the wall on the far right, inches from the finish line. My sparrow begins to morph from the spider bite it received earlier and develops Spiderman hands and sticks to the wall, HARD. By the time I am going the right direction again, I am last. Yeah, it f'd me up that bad. Not to mention it was going to be my 3rd win for the "S" class license. I raged quit.
