SRL - What The Hell (Share your SRL "Almost snapped the pad" moments)
Post your best SRL WTF and WTH moments.
Was victory ripped from your grasp?
Did 2st cross the line 20 seconds before 2nd place despite being behind the whole race?
Let me set the scene for me own WTF moment
PIcture it, you are three gates from victory, not one obstical in the way, you are in a fierce battle with 2nd place to keep the lead and take the flag.
THREE flags to go, you hit the flag side by side with 2nd place.
TWO flags to go, 2nd place missed the flag and you pull ahead, certain in your victory
Almost at the last flag before the finish line...... no way 2nd can catch you if you hit that flag
2nd place tears past you as if you were going backwards, ignores the last flag and smashed the finish line almost a second ahead
Bug, Glitch, Exploit, Cheat?
Who knows, but bloody annoying!!!

4 RepliesRight out of the starting gate on Venus and I get sandwiched between two other racers who end up driving me into the wall where the track spits for the first time, then proceed to go their separate ways. Gdi guys.

End of race, go thru finish line as second, bottom right side of the screen said second. Results put me at 4th..... how ever I got the last rng shader I needed from srl do I'm calling it a wash

Lead the entire race, go through the portal getting close to the finish on venus, smash down so hard I fly insanely high in the air and stay airborne long enough for everyone to pass me. Going through the fans, get the first 2 perfectly, the third clips the back of the sparrow making me do a crazy 720 triple backflip.

I was leading the whole race for the whole race by at least 10 seconds, came over the jump right before the launcher on Venus and all the sudden my sparrow stop like it hit a wall, out in the middle of a straight away. Lost the race because of it.

Right next to the gate last lap with someone else, he thought he went through and jumped off his sparrow, I felt so bad but laughed so hard.

I came second by a lot Still said I got first place[spoiler]dude who came first(second) gets legendary[/spoiler]

I crossed a finish line and the screen said I was in first place but when I finished it said I was 2nd.

Was first on the Final Stretch of the Mars Map, there were taken and a centurion decided to send his jizz ball and I hit it, got launched into the sky and hit a wall and blew up, everyone passed me as I respawned...

Mars: -small rock think on a curve blows me up when i'm nowhere near it

Biggest issue i have is my paper sparrow. In the situation you described i would be side by side with said 2nd place.....they would glance my way and my sparrow would flip into the air smack a wall and land upside down. I can not race anywhere near other players i always end up flying up in the air on top of them and loosing time at best, flipping into obstacles at worst.

On the way down from one of the cliffs after a boost -- lining up my sparrow to hit the boost after the fall -- hit the ground -- stop and fly 100 ft up in the air, not moving forward. 1st to 6th, GG. [spoiler]Not really mad, rewards are still good; But still. :)[/spoiler]

Running first on Venus right before the portal tiny bump turns into launch pad sending you straight into the hydra stopping you dead

1 ReplyHalf the time i land a jump i either hit the ground to hard and bounce or my engine decides to just stop and i end up sitting there, getting to the point where its becoming annoying.

In first whole race, get bumped slightly from behind, hit a wall and I'm in 4 or 5th by the time I recover. Every damn time.

I was I was fifth place and made it to first by one boost at the last lap on Venus

The fans on Mars powering up like a blender as you pass through them. The sticky walls. The Jump on Mars throwing you in random directions including downwards. Gates not registering that you pass through them. Especially when you have a perfect run going

1 ReplyIt's the 3rd lap on Mars and I've been in first place the whole race. Going down the stretch thinking I was going to win, then I got to the fans. I HATE THE FANS! Get past the first two but hit the third one and explode. Finished fourth

1 ReplyMars fan lag. It just sits there and speeds up when i get close. Smash! Boom! The second and the third did the same thing. Last lap in the lead the entire race until this. Oh jump smack stall. Hit the gate no boost. while in first dropped to six cause of a perfect bump.

I hit the last gate and it projects me completely sideways at full speed. I try to re-adjust, I try to pull out of it, but Bungie's not having it. I hit a rock, I would say cantaloupe size, and slide on my helmet into the wall on the far right, inches from the finish line. My sparrow begins to morph from the spider bite it received earlier and develops Spiderman hands and sticks to the wall, HARD. By the time I am going the right direction again, I am last. Yeah, it f'd me up that bad. Not to mention it was going to be my 3rd win for the "S" class license. I raged quit.
