So they are basically implementing gambling into a game aimed at people not old enough to gamble. Isn't that illegal? Hand over real money Rng based system determines what you get That is gambling. The definition of gambling Pay real money with the hopes of getting what you want They will be getting minors to gamble if this is implemented......either way you look at it that is illegal.

  • It's not gambling per say because you are not "cashing out" after purchasing something... You don't get real $ back. It's already been addressed multiple times in multiple games.

  • But it is gambling IMO.. Look at the old cigar gambling machines.. Pay 5¢, spin the wheel.. You may get one cigar as guaranteed, but you may get 2 or 3.. And that was considered gambling and then outlawed.. Either way.. RNG for real money is absurd. There's nothing wrong with buying emotes as singles or as a pack. But RNG is just greedy.

First of all, that involved TOBACCO, as well as a REAL ITEM. Buying in-game stuff to play with in-game stuff (with no return value ((a real item))) is not illegal. It may be considered gambling, but it will never be considered illegal.

  • Your definition of gambling is wrong and truly ignorant. Your severe lack of a proper education is evident by your ignorance. Impressive.

  • Lol! I feel bad that you think this is illegal and considered gambling for real. You are an idiot and what you said to me proves that you are never going to understand logic.

  • It's more of the idea behind it, rather than what the item is in question. But I realize this is a grey area in video games or games in general. The "claw arcade game" is considered a game of "skill" with a possible return of a random cash value so to speak.. while slot machines are a game of chance with a possibility of a cash return. But I think we can all agree that paying real money for a chance to get an item based on RNG is just silly. Well, to me at least.

It's not illegal at the moment since no one has really looked into the practice as it's tied into video games, but it indeed needs to be. Game companies are indeed inviting a gambling mentality to little kids who don't know any better.

As much as I agree if it was illegal they wouldn't be doing it
