Destiny 2 will receive an update tomorrow. Players will be required to log in to Destiny 2 again after installing the update. Please stay tuned to @BungieHelp for updates.
It still should have been left as a CHOICE for the particular gamer to make. If enough year2 weapons were created that were interesting and fun to use, people would have tried them. If they actually created new weapons, not just reskins with castrated perks, players would use them. Regardless of whether players chose to remain with the old or move on to the new, it should have been left to their prerogative. I prefer to play a game the way I want to play it, not the way the developers WANT me to play it. More variety is always better than less, for most players.
I understand the argument that they made year1 weapons to powerful. I understand that they removed primary burns to push players to try the new guns. But if you change the mechanics of a fight you could have made new perks on new weapons that were sought after to make specific encounters easier to manage. But by removing year1 gear and content all they did was limit what the gamers that play the game had to do. Would it be fun to run an updated VOG hoping to get the updated VoC or FB?
