That's true, the RNG factor has been multiplied by the new drop system and it's frustrating to get sub par drops in either of the endgame activities. It shouldn't be that hard for them to code it in so that it guarantees a higher light level drop of gear. That way there's still the item/perk RNG to allow for some surprise/disappointment. Doesn't have to be 320 necessarily, just at least X light level higher than the max item you have in that slot/inventory/vault.

  • Yeah of course, otherwise there's just too much luck involved... You need to be lucky with the actual item dropping, primary, heavy, helmet, ... then you have to get lucky with the perks and on top of that you need to get a good enough light level, that's just too much. Light level should be above the amount you already have.
