I don't get it.
Icebreaker: fire 6-7 bullets. Wait 30 seconds for it to reload, fire 6-7 bullets wait 30 seconds...
Any other sniper: fire 6 bullets, reload for two seconds, fire six bullets, reload 2 seconds, then rinse and repeat 4 more time until you run out of ammo, you can pop a synth or hell, walk like 10 seconds until you see thousands of green ammo boxes, it is not like we were ammo crippled in Y1

its because you could sit places VERY far away from the adds and not have to worry about running out of ammo. EVER. Also, the icebreaker is an amazing dps weapon due to the fact you can swap to it and always count and having ammo and its absurd impact

You could do exactly the same with any other sniper, thats the thing. Even you you fired it esporadically, probably you run into green boxes before, refilling your reserves in the process. DPS = More damage in less time. The waiting times for bullet regen cripples de DPS. Then it was 8 secs per bulpet, making it less apealing.
