I've used shotguns since the beta. While sniping takes more skill, saying shotguns take no skill is not true. They are high risk, high reward weapons (more so after their range reduction again), and the timing is very precise.

    I remember shooting someone and going to confirm kill, just to be shot down by a shotgun camping the corner he ran behind. Never made that mistake again. Shot someone, waited for them, and they indeed came. Only to rush through my barage of bullets and snipe me with a shotgun. Me playing destiny was a mistake. Never making it again.

  • You need to keep pressing with grenades if someone is injured, or follow up with a melee. It's your own fault that you died in both instances.

    Depends on the situation. If someone is rushing from too far away using your primary pretty much guarantees you the kill. Also if you have heavy amo someone rushing you is also disastrous. There is also the issue with the last word being able to melt all shotgun users.

    Thats my point if you rushing from too far what the definition of too far on cqc maps? Beside the rare "sniper lanes" everything favours this gun it just too easy to get a kill the average ttk is too high which makes the shotgun too effective. Try too melt a skating titan or blinking opponent its possible but at what cost with the curent meta?

  • I don't know about you, but the havoc pidgin side arm is very effective at melting shotgun users, as well as chargin Titans and blinking hunters/warlocks.

    Sry i cant take you srsly you have almost twice as much kills with shotguns than all primarys together even with thos 77 sidearms kills included just because you get killed from time to time from it its not melting everyone. That should just not happen that you have more kills with a shotgun than all primarys together the nerf of sg is truly needed learn to use something else beside a sg man after that we can continue with this....

    You say you play since beta and you have literally no exp. In pvpin this game thats all i see, your win rate is not good,accuarcy is bad with weapons, sg is your main killing source, i wont mention your kd but you dont melt anyone with anything mate even if you expirement,i experiment and try things out all the time ^^

  • I do believe I originally said that while they take less skill than a sniper, they take some skill. I later said that I've recently found that the side arm havoc pidgin has a way of melting shotgun users, Titans, and blinking warlocks/hunters.

  • It is the ttk is too long even if you walk backwards while shooting its too easy to catch up with high agility jump/slide/blink builds. Thats why sg's get nerfed again ;)
