Sniper - thumb skill
Shotgun - positioning skill
Play ToO. People aren't blink shotgun-ing everywhere as opposed to 6v6 modes. It takes skill/smarts to rush in/flank with a shotgun and engage the opposing team. It also takes balls.

Nah. You can still close the gap significantly quicker than most players can get a PR kill. The maps all pretty much favor shotguns still even with snipers becoming more prominent
