At GS last week they had a special that I was able to trade in both my PS3 and 360 plus games and I ended up paying $65 for an X1 and a free game.

Pretty sure that sale isn't still around and for the credit on the Xbox 360 you need a 250gb hard drive which not everyone has (including me they will only give me 30 bucks for my xbox with 120gb)

They aren't even that expensive anymore. There are very good deals especially on black Friday this week.

$400 on black Friday with 2 new games. That's a great deal or you can get ps4 with a game for $350
