Dante... Or whatever was left of him... Stood up, glaring at the figure before him. He was completely enveloped in a dark aura, similar to a sunsinger, only darker.

" That's a good look for you." James lifted his Vex arm, and opened his palm. A bright light emitted from it.

Dante prepped itself for whatever attack would happen next.

" You can't even speak for yourself anymore. Can you?"

[b][i]"No. I just don't have much to say to you."[/i][/b]

" I think you're lying. Everyone has a lot to say to each other. "

[b][i]"Let me ask you something. You ever have a nightmare before?"[/i][/b]

" How naïve you've become. I know you can still hear me under all that. Is this really what you want?"

" And I'm not inclined to answer. Because you already know the answer."

It just takes time for me to accumulate enough power for a full on fight. And right now, I'm about ready." James aimed his Vex arm up and pointed it into the sky. Opening his palm, an immensely strong beam of light shot out into the sky, turning the once dominantly dark sky into a battlefield between light and dark. James himself started to glow faintly.

[b][i]"cute trick."[/i][/b] Dark flames started to gather around "Dante". The conflicting energies in the area seemed to weigh down on him.

" I know right?! It's the first time I've even been at this level, so let's see how far we can push it." James' whole body tensed and the light shooting out of his palm got just as tense. At this point the light was blinding. James was now engulfed in white flames. " Alright. Hit first."

[b][i]"Pal... You're gonna have a bad time."[/i][/b] "Dante" seemed to disappear in a flash, then quickly reappeared above James. He had drawn a large blade, similar to Raze-lighter, but engulfed in dark fire. He swung the massive blade down on top of James.

In that same instant, James formed his own blade, which was too bright to discern the shape. Both blades connected and a powerful explosion occurred, knocking them both back. James caught himself and stood up. " Oh man..... That hurt..."

"Dante" started laughing as he got back up on his feet. He shrugged his shoulders and cracked his neck. [i][b]"Ohoohoo this is gonna be [u]fun![/u]"[/b][/i]

James sighed. The blade in his hand disappeared. " I know the real you is still in there. I know that the real you would never give up. He'd always find a way to fight back. So, in faith, I won't fight you. Because I know he will fight you instead." The light around James faded away, and he returned to normal. He put his hands to his side, waiting on "Dante"s next move.
