let's put this in perspective. here's an analogy I think everyone might understand, even bungie. you go to a restaurant and order a supreme pizza. It's listed as coming with pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, and will have green peppers added after it comes out of the oven, but you have to pay for it up front. Are you following? Good. your pizza comes to you at the table after a long awaited anticipation. now you assumed it would come with cheese, but it isn't listed so it didn't come with it (i.e. story in destiny). that's cool my bad for making an assumption about the best pizzeria (bungievision) in town. so you eat your first slice. then the waiter comes out with your green peppers, only they aren't green peppers, they're green beans. (PoE) so you question it and the waiter points to the sign saying that substitutions may be made at staff discretion. Cool, bro I didn't read the fine print, my bad. so you eat your next piece of pizza. next the waiter comes by and says, "sorry sir/ma'am, but we have to take the pepperoni back, it makes your pizza too tasty. (all y1 gear and nearly all elemental primaries scheduled to come in y2.) and you question him about it so he bring s back your receipt showing the fin print that says you are paying for the privilege to eat the pizza, you do not own it. at this point you'd be yelling at the manager to fix you pizza and demanding a credit. yet you are perfectly fine with bungie reaming you in the anus while activision rifles through your child's piggy bank.
