I heard somewhere that when destiny came out it was them using it as a beta test strat and the reason why all these expansions came out later to make the game the closest to how the community wanted the game, preventing them from them flopping, I mean imagine them putting out year 2 of destiny (which should have bin destiny from the beginning and Noone liking all that content, such a huge wast of time money etc.) Hence maybe why year 1 gear is useless because that whole first year was them being careful do make sure each buck they spent gave them the biggest bang,
