He moves his arm slightly, just barely revealing a nasty looking wound in his chest. It seemed to be pulsating some sort of dark energy. Whatever it was, it didn't look good.
"It's nothing... I'm fine..."

"It doesn't look good, should I have someone look at it?"

"I said I'm [b][i]fine![/i][/b]" Suddenly, a short burst of dark energy shot out around Dante. The floor around him cracked, and he fell to his knees. "Ngh.... Damnit... I'm sorry..."

[b]xerox crouches down by him[/b] "That's bad..... You're being corrupted by the darkness....."

"Heh... Suspected as much... What the hell kinda weapon did that knucklehead make?"

"Who made? Are you talking about the person who caused this?"

"Yeah... My brother Vergil... He did something to his sword..."

Dante takes one of the glasses and sloshes the liquid inside it around a few times before taking a drink. "So, you seem to be doing pretty well for yourself."

"Yeah, it's fun to have this much power. I just hope that my worm doesn't make me turn on my allies because it wants more power."

"Yeah... That'd be a real shame. I wouldn't want to have to... Well, y'know..."

"Right... " Dante takes another drink before pulling out Toland's journal and flipping through a few pages.

"Anything in there about darkness corruption and how to stop it?"

"That's what I'm trying to find... Couldn't get any info out of the evil cloud itself, but he has been getting... Louder..."

"Damn, lets hope that it only messes with your powers and not your mindset or morals."
