Dude that was BS, I just took a course on religion in my college last semester, the Quran promotes peace, it even says something like "Treat those how you would like them to treat you" or something along those lines. ISIS just uses the Islamic religion to justify their actions like the cowards they are.

The Bible also says "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you."

Yes and the Quran says something really similar

It's not BS when they are all quotes from the book. You may be misunderstanding the issue. The way ISIS acts is condoned within the teachings of the Quran. One statement may say that they should respect and be nice and whatnot, but the other aspects of the book say that their sins will be forgiven if they are for the Islamic war. It's an interpretation of the book. A legitimate interpretation of the book. You cannot compare their actions with the Quran, and definitively say their sins will not be forgiven. Just as you can't look at the bible, and definitively say the universe wasn't made in 6 days. It's an interpretation. As long as the Quran exists, there will be people who take a literal interpretation. As long as there are people who take a literal interpretation, there will be extremists who act on it.
