Not everyone has the time to spend collecting fragments.
Some only play for short periods of time a week.

But its also a grim reminder that bungie contradicts itself.
Saying we don't want weapons that everyone will require. Then putting in a gun that obviously everyone will require.

2 RepliesCompleted my first 3 Hard Raids with a Smite of Merain, Raid Pulse. (Firefly on this thing is insane) If a Fireteam won't accept you without a particular weapon, it's because they're not good enough at the game to succeed without it.
