Whether you’re mildly entertained, not phased or just downright annoyed. I’ve spent maybe 10-15 minutes coming up with this shitpost. Yes, primarily to entertain people, now I’d even dare to say the vote swing shows that I’m heading in the right direction. Worst case scenario depending on how you perceive said shitpost, I’ve wasted 10-15 minutes of my time and that is quite sad and idiotic on an individual level. Quite often, you would be right to publically evaluate a shitpost in a negative tone given if it were very obscure and remained at the bottom of the pile. In this case, it’s not.
I’ve ‘wasted’ 10-15 minutes writing this, you’ve used 1 minute reading this, which isn’t as sad or idiotic as an individual. However, reading this even based on the amount of positive upvotes alone, let’s say 30. As a collective, the community has wasted 30 minutes opposed to my 15 minutes on this indication alone. So if I’m a troll who’s primary agenda is to waste other people’s time or I’m just a person writing a shitpost for some harmless lols, I’ve already achieved my objective at this stage - rendering your negative opinions quite useless. Although, I’m always appreciative of positive feedback and feel it’s less of a waste of your time; it motivates me to waste more time of the people who hold such posts in low regard in the future.

I dont see why it would motivate you to waste more of people's time. Back to why it got so many upvotes is beyond me. I am offering my criticism in hopes it will make you try harder next time. I'm a motivator, but your post I guess I just dont get it.

Edited by Synergy-Seven: 11/13/2015 2:45:53 AMWell, if my objective was to waste people's time, then that's trolling. So let's select scenario B; I'm trying to humour a few people - currently 30 up + the many to counter the downvotes. my individual effort applied has already paid off in contrast to the collective based on the concept i mentioned above. Why try harder? I'd assume we're both very strong-willed people who hold to different mantras on how we conduct ourselves in the online community. Regardless if you agree with me or not, the question is, how much time are we both wasting by having this conversation in the obscure depths of this thread? If this is the plot twist to get me back, then you have partially succeeded, as i could have spent that 10 minutes dedicated to you on wasting time/entertaining a hundred+ others. Then by this concept, in your mind you would have only succeeded in delaying the inevitable.

It was your choice to reply to my comment, you easily could have ignored. Since I put in the time to make the comment, you put in the time to reply to the comment, then we both just kept it going. I am simply trying to figure why this comment was liked by so many and I guess get a feel for the you, the person who came up with it.

Edited by Synergy-Seven: 11/13/2015 4:46:02 AMDo you really want to know why this got so many upvotes? This post was initially tanking until i included a portrait of Freddie Mercury (for no -blam!-ing reason at all), then by some natural phenomenon, it started to do alright. Query that and you will eventually get on my level and start wondering why a predominant target audience who love to throw the word 'Fgt' around have collectively liked this.
