Not everyone has the time to spend collecting fragments.
Some only play for short periods of time a week.
Please stop being smug and saying

Yep. I just wish the expansions actually expanded on the game instead of basically take us back to square one or generally remove things.

Watch the YouTube videos showing all the fragment locations. The hardest will be Court of Oryx. If you can't get a fireteam together you need to find an instance with lots of random Guardians. [spoiler]Technically beating Oryx is the hardest part, but if you are already raiding, then this is obviously doable.[/spoiler]Also, most Guardians like to help each other. Let people know you need help getting Touch of Malice. You'll be surprised.

Then 1 raid run, again making sure you know where to look so you get them all. Then an hour or so in CoO go get a few more, you might have to wait until reset then for the tier 3 to reset. It doesn't take that long, in all honesty the material farming section of the exotic sword quest took longer than my whole pursuit of ToM. It's not a case of not having the time it's making sure you use your time efficiently. Also it's not an out and out requirement for everything. It's the best gun for the daughters/oryx. Bungie said there would never be one to rule them all (like Gally did) and there isn't. Just a whole load of cool exotics which all have their strengths and uses.

Not everything can be easy and quick or the players that do play a lot would have nothing to do after a few days. ToM isn't required from what I've seen. I got it then infused it because I will get more use out of what I infused it into. I got over half the fragments by just playing. Then spent an hour or so to get the rest using DestinyCalcifiedFragments.com.

Joke or not if you don't like it, make your own fireteam and set your own requirements. I'm sick of people complaining about how they can't get into a group because they don't have such and such weapon. If someone wants to set certain requirements for people to join, that's their business. There's nothing stopping you or anyone else from starting their own fireteam and setting their own requirements.

It has been out long enough for you to have it. It's been 2 full months, it takes less than 2 hours to watch a YouTube video to find all the locations. Then you'd only need to hop on for 20 minutes max for 3 weeks to do the tier 3 court of Oryx to get the fragments from that. Then maybe another 2 hours max to run the missions. 5-6 hours of gameplay in a 2 month span sounds pretty doable to me

It only took me 4 hours to get all the fragments. This is someone who can only play 4 hours a day on the weekends.

1 ReplyWell all things considered, it really only took me about 3 hours to find all the fragments lying around the dreadnaught. It takes up to 3 weeks to wait for the court of oryx bosses to rotate so you can get their fragments, but the actual time put in to kill them is only like an hour at most. At light 310 I was able to solo the ogre and wizard one. The agonarch tune takes 3 days to fully charge, and the actual event it unlocks only takes like 15 minutes. So in total, you couldn't find 4 and a half hours over the past 8-9 weeks to unlock the ToM?

Got all the fragments finally on my hunter a week or 2 ago (I wasn't in a huge hurry because I knew beating KF would take me a while anyway). Been trying to beat Oryx several times since then. Last night we decided to leave our existing Oryx CP for later and run a fresh raid with alts for more gear. Beat the whole thing first go, amazingly enough. So now I have the Heart of Malice... on my Titan, who doesn't even have the Old Hunger quest unlocked yet. Sucks.

2 RepliesEven with short play times it's not like it's hard to get fragments. You do know that with guides it takes like, an hour or two to get all the ones that aren't in the court, right? Also, your "satire" is terrible, not amusing, and not even really satire. So I agree with your other tag and yes, you are stupid.

2 RepliesTotal time commitment needed for fragments is at max a few hours. The plethora of guide options make it super SUPER easy. It's not like Black Spindle or even the exotic sword quest. Even the most casual of casuals with any interest in raiding should absolutely be able to obtain the ToM. Not having it just means you didn't take the 2 minutes to locate a video on YouTube, or you haven't been able to successfully complete normal KF, or you just don't care. Either way if you can't even be bothered to get the most useful raid weapon then I don't see any reason why you should be allowed to complain. Don't show up to the ski resort and expect to go skiing with your friends if you're showing up with a pair or roller blades on, you're just saying fu huck it and expecting to have someone else carry you. Not saying you can contribute but not having ToM in the fireteam means your being extremely inefficient, suggesting that it's ok that you don't have it because someone else does is included in the definition of being carried. Just get the damn weapon already

If you're trying to get into normal raid there are plenty of people who will run it regardless of anyone having it or not. Hard mode ot takes more damage to stagger oryx...and nothing has the damage output touch of malice has on daughters and oryx.

Jokes aside, I did it casual as fug and it took me a week. Nothing hardcore about it unless you want it to be.
