PSA to everyone with TOM
Not everyone has the time to spend collecting fragments.
Some only play for short periods of time a week.
Please stop being smug and saying
"Tkn kings been out for long enough so you should have it"
I am truly sorry you have that much free time to play a game.

But its also a grim reminder that bungie contradicts itself.
Saying we don't want weapons that everyone will require. Then putting in a gun that obviously everyone will require.

I personally hate this gun. Its only use is the final 2 sections of the raid. If i could find something that dpss better with an invulnerability aura id use it. Got to have it though

Collecting the normal shards can be done in 20 minutes. Getting the 7 kills for the agonarch rune takes 5 minutes per day for 7 days. You can get 4 or 5 in the raid. You get 1 every week from the tier 3 CoO rune. That's 10 minutes, once a week. You get 3 from tier 2 CoO. That's about 20 minutes. Even if you only got on for a little each day, you have more than enough time. Don't complain about not being able to get into teams because you didn't take the little time required to get the weapon.

While I could careless if you have it or not. Finding like 40 of the fragments can be found in like less than 2hrs if not less. Saying you don't have time to get an awesome 310 exotic that isn't hard to get at all would be the same as saying people won't let me in hard mode raid because I'm not over 305 and I don't have time to play normal mode...... What the hell do you do when you play?

If you ran around and got them for just 10 min a day you'd have it in a week. Do you ever play for an hour solid? Could have it in that time period. You are just lazy and don't want to have to go through and find them all, sorry

I see the satire tag, but people will continue to come here and side with this. This is directed towards those people. ToM isn't rng, therefore the only excuse you can have for not having it is not enough dedication. Want to get into a HM group? Get ToM. Don't have it? Make your own group, stop coming here to complain about not being able to join groups.

It only take a few minutes a day to collect them. Just follow a youtube video. Spend 10 minutes at a time, and you'll get it. If you don't have it, the issue is with you, not the community.

When I put toward the actual effort to obtain touch of malice it took me 2 weeks to get the fragments, do the raid and collect the damn hafnium flakes. I'm so happy now I have it. I was dominating people with SS and BS on oryx when it comes to DPS

You only need ToM for Daughters if needed. Your entire Team does not need it, it just help to kill the Daughters on the First attempts instead of going 3 rounds. One or Two if sufficient for Oryx on Normal mode. You just have to make sure your FireTeam has their Primary Weapons Leveled up. If not this is going to cause issues. I have not Cleared Hard Mode Yet, But It Will Be Done This Week. I Can Promise You That. This is why I have not commented on Hard Mode. I try to run 3 or more Raids a week for the Exp. I normally have a 100% completion rate on my Raids.

the salty edges of this one... I literally got mine by getting fragments as I noticed them, no guide, no grind/hunting... Didn't take that long again.

The only instance ToM is really useful in is the raid. The rest of the time the risk to health rarely outweighs the benefit of double damage

I agree with your post saying that you don't have a lot of free time. I would suggest getting one calcified fragment per day. Slowly you'll get there. But eventually you will. And there will always be a weapon superior to the others. As others shine brighter than others.

The people that can be smug about having it are the ones who found all the fragments before the things showing where they all are came up. They are the real mvps. I wouldn't have found them all without help. Why be smug about a gun that is literally good for daughters and oryx and nothing else? .

I have a collection of weapons that I'd rather use over ToM. Besides, if I wanted to deal damage on a stationary boss, I have the Sleeper Simulant. For me, it is a better use of an exotic slot than the ToM. PS. If a fireteam requires you to have ToM, they're not worth it.
