Crucible Quest Line

As much as I would like access to the weekly crucible quests I am finding the quest line overly long and repetitive (factions for one!) Are Bungie going to fix this? I have three characters and at this moment in time don't know if I have the patience to finish it on one of those let alone all 3! Be interesting to see the numbers on how many people have unlocked the weekly bounties, hardcore crucible players only I would guess. Seems a bit daft when all other weekly bounties are available, including trials and IB, without no or limited input.

  • This was addressed in the weekly update on 10/22. https://www.bungie.net/7_Bungie-Weekly-Update---10222015/en/News/News?aid=13797
Senior Designer Leif Johansen wants to make sure my friend Tortacular doesn’t murder Lord Shaxx: Leif: With The Taken King, we introduced a new Questline for the Crucible called “Crucible Forged.” Our goals with the Questline were to onboard players that may be intimidated by PvP into new games modes and playstyles. In hindsight, it felt really freakin’ long (like, glacially long), the rewards weren’t good enough for the effort, and only awarding progress on winning in certain steps led to frustration and quitting. Going forward, the Questline will be shorter. Completing matches will give you progress in most cases, and we’ll be giving you more freedom to choose how you complete it. Instead of having to complete one Quest at a time, you can complete multiple Quests all at once. This should enable you to progress though many steps at once, and you should have an easier time pairing up with friends to finish it. And, the Crucible Weekly Bounty rewards have already been buffed in 2.0.1.2, so you should see some more endgame-level gear for your weekly efforts.
I'm hoping this Quest will be fixed in the next update. I still haven't completed on any character because spending hours on a Quest that rewards crap blue items and depends on the team you get instead of individual effort in the Crucible wasn't worth the time.

No long boring questlines before nightfall or any other weekly. Instead of attracting people to pvp this does the opposite and encourages quitting.
