I seriously do not understand how people are on Bungie's side with regards to the underwhelming TTK weapons. I hear people say they rather have it like this than everyone using y1 OP weapons for every single occasion. Well why doesn't Bungie keep developing weapons that encourages people to use them? Instead of taking away and making the old weapons useless, give us more equivalent options and make it hard for us to choose. After the IB that dropped the felwinters and allowed us to reroll to the stats that we wanted, did you honestly think you would use anything else? After the LDR could be reforged, did you honestly think you would use anything else for a sniper in most occasions? Well what happened was that they introduced equivalent quality shotties during HoW and guardians debated on which was the best. Party crasher vs fel winters vs matador, and it was a heated battle with many trying to prove one was better than the other. For snipers, people were starting to use her benevolence, shadow of veils and low-grade humility. And their were so many discussions why one was more OP than the other. Yes I understand thorn and tlw pre-nerf was ridiculously OP, but would so many people complain if there were alternatives that we're just as good? Now it seems like we discuss which weapon is less crappy. How can bungie expect people to continue loving this game when players are stuck choosing one weapon because it sucks less than the other? They already opened the gates on elemental primaries and reforging and now they take it back and pretended it never happened. It's like having a -blam!- buddy for a few months, one who you have no interest being real friends with telling you that no more sex is going to be involved.... Yea most people are very likely going to see that person just as much right? With the state we're now, we are still using a few weapons and you know what they are. There's no real variety, and that's not the guardians fault. It's never the guardians fault for using the best weapons while playing competitively. It's the developers fault for not providing enough alternatives. Give me a god damn reason to use another weapon option instead of nerfing it or leaving it behind. Make it hard for me to choose because there are equally good options instead of because there's no better option #rantover

 • All I know is that I was having fun before the big weapon update. I used Hand cannons a lot, but I also used weapons like Oversould edict and Red Death, bad JuJu and so.. Few select legendary scout rifles which name I dont even remember anymore. The fact is.. The update came. I learned the new behavior of the guns and Wham.. Stopped having fun. I play both PvE and PvP and the fun just wasnt there. I figured out that OK; TTK comes with the new weapons that must be fun! Turns out TTK weapons are even worse than Y1 with the new meta. Second thing I wanted to say is that why its always the NERF that hits majority of weapons. Why not keep the overpowered weapons as they are and BUFF the ones that feel like left behind?

 • Yes. The hand cannon meta was a blast. It had issues, yes, but it was so much fun to play. TTK pace is just too slow and too limited. The guns don't feel powerful at all, not even the majority of the exotics. I agree with what you said, I think it's a feeling a lot of us have been getting.

 • We have arrived here because literally everything's been nerfed once, twice or more. After Bungie reigned in the outliers (like pre patch vex, original Suros, thorn) they should have focused on buffing the underperformers, not keep blanket nerfing entire weapon classes. TTK crucible Is a complete disaster. So limiting, aggressive play is no longer a real choice. We now only have one premier weapon class (pulse rifles, the last weapon class standing) and movement is so slow and blink is so easily countered 70% of players run snipers. That's not even addressing the three totally broken subclasses. I hope the December update buffs weapons and classes, and blink. We need more choice in crucible.

 • I was on that side of the fence originally. It made sense to me to balance the game out a bit. And get rid of weapons that end up being a requirement to find groups. But now 2 months in, I'm pretty bored of the game, and it's because of the loot. Those coveted weapons, the Icebreaker, the Ghally, Vex, etc... those things were what drove the game. And now that all the weapons are more or less balanced, the game has lost me a bit. I've come over to the other side of the argument.
