"The last thing we wanted was for you to look at your favorite gun or helmet and decide that it had become obsolete," DeeJ writes. "Since the reveal, we've read a lot of ideas for how this could have been done better. Your feedback is clear: The time you have invested in your stuff should be respected."
I understand the need / desire for weapon diversity but they simply could have made a shit ton of guns with varying perks that are similar to guns we loved (fb, voc, whatever). But instead they almost fully removed primary burns and didn't give us anything similar to our previous weapons. Yeah there are a few here and there, and if you get the right roll it's close, but that's not the same.
Heck the gear choices are pitiful now. At least before we could being any old piece of gear or weapon up to current light levels. We had diversity, we had guardians looking how THEY wanted to look, and not just differently colored clones in one of 5 armor sets (excluding exotics) ... It is what it is, but I don't understand the changes and I played wow for 5 years, so I'm used to leaving gear behind for bigger and better. Unfortunately here, they just gave us reskinned different, not really bigger or better...
Ps. Love that my warlock looks like cobra commander became a shaman lol
