Some games aren't for everybody. It sounds like Destiny is that way for you. Good luck elsewhere & I hope you find a game that will satisfy you. As for me & many others, the game schedule works out just fine. I have three kids & spend plenty of time with them & my wife. I still find time to raid each week, do trials & IB when they pop up... I've even got the game in Xbox AND PS4, so I'm running 6 characters. I play the game with my sons & my wife plays from time to time too. The difference? I actively seek out other players on 3rd party sites & cultivate relationships when I find decent likeminded players. I could complain about s number of things but I try to use that energy for gaming & personal relationships. You might consider trying that too, but you know... do what works for you.

 •
But when u stop playing my friend you will understand where he's coming from and u can see how much time I've put into the game have a wife and kid and this was my first week without playing destiny and I get him
I have taken periods off from playing, as long as a month before (actually a bit longer.) The difference between us is that I don't find myself holding expectations of the game world bending towards my life choices. His rant is something he is entitled to believe & feel, of course. But his expectations are unrealistic & unfair to the community & the developers. He must take responsibility for HIS life choices & HIS prioritization... It's not Bungie's fault that he decided to spend more time focusing on his family & career to the exclusion of the game. He needs to accept that trade off & recognize it is HIS choice. It sounds like it's not working well for him in terms of his desires, but he's attempting to justify it anyway in an effort to head off regrets. As for his message to Bungie, he's essentially saying, "hey, give me what I want even as I pull away to focus on other areas of my life..." That's utterly narcissistic & unreasonable. I hope he can find a balance that he's comfortable with & a new game that provides him enjoyment & stimulation. That said, there are legitimate problems in the game worth Bungie's time & attention, but catering the schedule to people that have pulled away would be a huge mistake.

 • Six characters? Sounds like you have an addiction.

 •
Six characters? Sounds like you have an addiction.
No, I play one set of three on the Xbox with my son (we do nightfalls & raids together... I get to spend time with him doing something we both love & he gets to learn lessons about setting goals, tracking progress, etc. .... We've incorporated his interest in the game to expand on his school learning by discussing aspects of literature & story development, coding, mathematics & statistics, and a host of other things.) The other set of three characters on my PS4 I use to stay in contact with friends across the country that have since moved away. We play weekly, as time allows, & catch up on each other's lives... Children, spouses, career developments. One needn't be "addicted" to serve significant enjoyment & benefit from what one does with free time.
