I'm not historically a Bungie hater. I have even defended them many times saying people who got bored of the game probably play too much and roll through the content by playing 10 hours a day. But no more. I have come to the dark side. I actually agree with you.
I'm only at 297, so I haven't put in the hours that many others have. I haven't even completed the raid yet. And I still agree completely with what you've said here. I always felt the pull of this game's addiction until the last couple of weeks. TTK ran its course pretty quickly and left us feeling like there's not much to play for. That carrot, as you say, is no longer there.
One big complaint I have is that they went from 2 playable raids with usable gear, plus the Prison, to just one raid now. They added 4 or 5 strikes, but then removed another 4. So yes there's new stuff to do, but the overall amount of content is less. And before anyone gives me the argument that it's an MMO so content gets left behind... That's all well and good in WoW when there's plenty of new content to get into. But in this case there is not plenty of new content. They should have kept the old stuff relevant.

It's funny that you are bored before you have played a big part of the game. If you were to start raiding you would get a little more enjoyment. Although the loot sucks, it's still fun to play with friends. I'm not trying to say that destiny hasn't lost its touch, because it definitely has. It's just that doing the raid for a couple weeks would give you something else to play for.

LOL yeah I know. And I still want to get into the raid a bit more. Finding 6 player fire teams isn't easy for everyone though. And I'm not all that interested in doing the raid with an LFG group. But even then, I've heard the loot sucks in the raid, like you mentioned, so it's not all that exciting. Yes I'd like to see the content, but this is a loot based game. I think that's where Bungie failed the worst. By making the loot easier to obtain in some cases (quests for exotics), and harder to obtain in other cases (the raid), while at the same time balancing out all the gear so nothing really stands out all that much. The loot is what drives this game, and it's not doing a very good job anymore.

I tend to agree with you. Although if you find a raid group for normal mode, you can add them as you play through HM. The loot does suck pretty bad. It was a bad move on bungies behalf to make the loot feel underwhelming. Also time gating the exotics the way they did, means not many options for exciting RNG event. Idk, I have rented BO3 and depending on how that goes I might be cutting back quite a bit on destiny. Feel free to add me on X1, I wouldn't mind helping you through the raid.

Cool man, will do. I have a couple of friends I play with pretty regularly but never more than 3 or 4 at a time so the raid groups rarely happen. And at the same time, I've been seeing less and less people on Destiny. Seems like many people are done, at least for now, which is the point of this thread in the first place. Haha.

After you do the raid 2-3 times it becomes the worst raid to date. Easily. I can't even sign on to Destiny anymore, it's just not fun.
