I for one don't want to be restricted to 3 weapons for 10 years.

You aren't, you can play with any weapon they invent but for those that don't want the new weapons we can stick with old faithful

You had a high chance if getting kicked out of groups for not having a Gjallarhorn equipped. Yeah, not limited at all.

"Had".. past tense. that doesn't not having it would get you kicked further out into the future. Plus that doesn't mean that if I want to use it I shouldn't be allowed to.

That'll change in a week or two, trust me. There are plenty of alternatives to Black Spindle, or ToM, that are very effective and adhere to play styles better.
