Bungie still has this particular gerbil running round and round on the wheel, but I agree with a great deal of what you said and have been feeling some serious love loss with Destiny as of late myself. I was looking forward to TTK as much as anyone. More gear, more exotics, more story, more strikes, more raiding options, more crucible maps, more options, more more more! Couple this with the fact that I play on Xbox and we were getting all the Playstation Y1 content as well, and I was happier than a duck in water. That is until I came up for air and took a good look around me. Just about everything I had played for, more hours than I care to count was rendered useless overnight. I was still trying to grind away with friends in Vault of Glass trying to finally get the ever elusive Vex only to find out it was also meaningless. Old raids are now obsolete. Strikes are missing. Crucible maps are missing. Crucible gear payout is horrendous. The great weapon balance that we had all been waiting for only traded problems because it all but killed the entire class of handguns and didn't do enough for auto-rifles. Ultimately for all that they gave us, they took at least an equal amount away. And the grind, let's not even speak of the grind... While I like the infusion aspect of the game, they implemented it poorly because the grind from 290+ is ridiculous as the overwhelming majority of things you get aren't options, but just parts. It really should have been that you can infuse all gear and use any other gear regardless of light level to infuse it with, altering the infusion rate respectively. I've never expected a perfect game because perfection is in the eyes of the beholder, but I do expect a very very polished and full game where balance and diversity are extremely well done. Destiny has taken 1 step forward, and 2 steps back. This gerbil is still on the wheel, but I'm getting tired. Very very tired.
