This is well written and I hope Bungie pays attention to it. One section I totally agree with is:
No point in light 310+: You released hard raid for us to get over light 310. But for what? to play Hard mode raid? If I land to the moon and kill some dregs as light 260 character, I do it as efficiently as I kill them with light 320 character.. Because the difficulty modifier system is just plain bad. I didnt kill atheon and crota.. Skolas and Oryx just to struggle in a starting area against low level monsters. Where is the sense of character developement here?
I'm trying to do King's Fall on normal and by far the hardest thing isn't the raid, its keeping a group together long enough to complete it. I find LFG sites are dwindling as people are moving on to other games. I find end game content will only be harder to do with a smaller community. Match making isn't the answer with raids, I know I will quit most groups with squeakers. Its not about a squeakers ability, its the inability to remain calm and quiet. I salute the younger ones who have the maturity to overcome this and look forward to playing with some of them. The quest system and the time gating is innovative. I like the idea and execution of their time gating because it is a reward to those who can dedicate the time to this game. Every game has had an element like this, and its why we coined the term 'special snowflake' If there is something I can't get because of time gating then its too bad for me. I wouldn't put it back on Bungie to say its flawed. We live in a world of compromise. This game is due for a free DLC. We have seen the revenues this game has made and the largest complaint from the disgruntled Destiny community is Bungie sucking the money teet dry. For content, I have Sleeper Simulant, NTTE, and just got ToM last night. I really enjoyed doing those quests. I still want raid boots and the raid ghost shell, but after that I don't care to do KF hard mode. I fear this game has served its purpose for most

 • Havent you heard? After the hard mode Oryx you get to have a whack of Challenge mode Oryx! So you get to grind the same raid even more!! -blam!- this shit.

 • The only purpose that the higher level equipment would serve is like you said, continued play of the hard raid along with PVP activities that had level advantages enabled like Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris. Other then that there is no real reason go for those things unless you just want them to say you have them. That's why things like the elemental primaries were good and served as good rewards from activities like Raids and Trials of Osiris cause they were that icing on the cake that typically made the effort worthwhile.

 • I am not convinced there is a significant difference in pvp performance between 290 and 320.

 • Maybe, maybe not. I hardly touch PVP so I don't know if Light Level has that much of an impact in the Iron Banner or Trials of Osiris as a whole. It was just my assumption since level advantages are enabled that having high light level equipment would have an impact, however if it doesn't then really it just lessens the importance of the hard mode raid items even more.
