leave. it's like every time they try to change it up, from popular demand, and get original, they get flack for it. sorry they can't cater to a guy that don't have a lot of time to play. entitled shit. they reward based off time played. if you can hardly get on then why should you be rewarded with the best gear like the rest of community plays for daily. oh you want all gear handed to you first or second run through???? is that so you can turn around and bitch how your already maxed and have everything 2 weeks in and it was a waste of money. enjoy the length of the game. in tdb and how. they made it too easy and I was maxed and bored within weeks. you guys should be thankful they found innovative and actual challenging quest raids bounties to get the best gear. just leave. people like you will never be happy.

  • 'Rewarded for time played' 5 normal mode kings fall + 80 mouldering shards, I have 1 primary from it, a 300 auto rifle. On my last run a first-timer with no shards got 2 309 hand cannons, while my kill + 20 shards earned me my 7th bond below 305 light, an antiquated rune even though I have 5 charged ones in my inventory, and 2 more mouldering shards. How is that rewarding time played? Every week I do the raid hoping that I get a primary, every time the other 5 people get primaries and I get nothing. After I teach them the mechanics, I walk away with rubbish, while they get the loot I want.

  • deal with it or don't play. it's happened to me yes. does it irritate me yes. do I want them to fix it. no. I think it's fine. just more time I get to play destiny with interest. something like that isn't worth quitting for. if that's the case then you're playing for the wrong reasons and just can't have fun with a great game

Unlike your point above. I've seen players casually come in and out & get Ghorn (or whatever) in the first two weeks, whereas for some players after 5 months of daily grinding they still find themselves with empty pockets (well, full of shards). That last question you asked that I quoted is really something you should be asking bungie, as they're the ones who designed the RNG for the casual player. Dickwhistle.

  • well getting gally before and this system is different. he was talking about spindle. which was a mission bounty based exotic. which means it's not rng. most exotics are still drops. but the daily mission ones aren't drops. their obtained by doing a task. not just get lucky. so your point is invalid. me personally. I'm glad they added in tough bounties. when I see plenty of posts how it's unfair and too hard. then that's what I like to hear. meaning it has to be earned. that's what I paid for. a challenge. not easy drop loots that finishes the game in 2 weeks cause o already got everything. I can't see why people think this is such a bad thing. people who play casually really don't need these hidden exotics cause their not playing enough to deserve it

  • You can say the last word bounty was difficult & the requirements met the reward. Or you can take a buddy or two with you into the crucible and get your kills in less than half an hour. Exotic bounties are not rng, but the original argument I prosed was that bungie rewards those based off time played, which is horribly incorrect.

  • Except. It is RNG. It's RNG as to whether the task is even available. If the task was always possible to get , like say or the boolean Gemini, then you would be right. But it isnt. He says this.

  •
this is what bungie wants to turn people into. They want you to actually enjoy grinding pointlessly. In this game, there is no advantage to playing everyday, because you can do all of your weekly shit in one day, and it is the only way to actually make progress after a certain point. And, those weeklies you will be dependent on do not reward you for skill or time wasted. RNG is the deciding factor, so that the MVP of the group could get shards and garbage, but the weaker members get the best shit. Not to mention that in an uncertain amount of time, when they raise the light level again, all of that grind will be as meaningful as year one. It is a nonstop cycle you can either bail out of or stay in and try and find some satisfaction with it. Not to mention that it is all focused on the same raid, so the grinding doesn't change at all. Literally nothing changed between 310 grind and 320 grind except the level of the gear. Kill the same bosses and pray to your God that you get lucky. Not to mention you could get what you want, and have it be worse than your current gear. I didn't mind destinys first year, but ttk was a major wake up call to me.
• Not right about the rewards for time played. The rng system is so screwed right now. Ive seen people get full raid gear on their first raid and then i see people who get screwed everytime they do the raid. In year 1 i had 1500 hours played and never gor a gally until xur sold it. I wish bungie would truly reward you based on skill and time played. Have you played crucible? Notice how the person with the lowest score is always the one to get something

Statistics are never accurate but they tend to give a clearer picture based on their subject at hand. Statistics show that a LOT of Destiny's userbase is dropping off either because of newer games or because of the monotonous grind for little reward. The grind and feeling of worthlessness has even gotten to the most dedicated of guardians and the cracks are showing. Ignorance is bliss but that doesn't mean ignoring the truth makes it's any less factual.

  • It's not because we're needy, it's because outside of one weekly event, the HM raid, there is no way of progressing your character(s) once you hit the 300 light level mark. It's because the current loot table for Nightfalls and exotic drops is bare minimum, which most players will have acquired all by now. It's because the game went from being laden in reset content per week to reverting to a vanilla state again yet they charged us $40/£40 for it? I love Destiny, and my time spent in-game shows that but TTK and this "new year, clean slate" nonsense has ruined the game. Fair enough making us start again on a new game like Destiny 2, but to do it in-game after just 1 year without starting year 2 off better was a terrible move. I will be back on Destiny, but most likely not until next DLC.

  •
I agree. This morning i did the night fall for 1 and a half fukin hours and got a 298 hung jury.
Which is infusable!! What do you people not get about this?!?! Who cares if it's 200 or 320? The reliable way to get high value drops is the raid & 3 of coins, both of which you can turn around & use to boost weapons & armor you actually care about. There is no such thing as a worthless drop anymore. You either get marks for it, which you can use for strengthening desirable gear through infusion or buying gear you want or need; or you get something better than what you have from a mod/perk standpoint, which you then strengthen through effort & grinding. You literally get back what you put into the game!

  • So basically you disagree on the point that raid rewards feel rather unrewarding?

  • it doesn't feel unrewarding. it's rng. everyone knew this when signing up. I'm all for extending the game a little longer trying to get the right gear. I wasn't for easer gear drops like how and I was maxed out and nothing left to do in 2 weeks.
