I chose combat rating but I dunno if it is the best... Cumulative kd does not reflect how well you are atm as people improve (or even get worse!) also game type is important, in objective game modes kd is often not important. I've won many rift games for my team with the most points in my team and a negative kd becuase I focused on the objective (dunking the spark) so in some modes kd is useless. I would go so far as to say even in Control, where kills count. For example, are you a bad player if you sacrifice yourself to clear the other teams heavy spawn? No, by doing that you allow your team mates to rack up more kills and help towards the win. I'd say recent kd is important in things like rumble, elimination, clash. Not so much in other modes.
