Destiny is a great game, but it feels like it's become more of a habit than fun. I'll be taking a bit of time away to play BO3 (not particularly revolutionary in its gameplay, but a good solid FPS multiplayer experience), & hopefully Star Wars will be a welcome distraction as well. I will be back on Destiny but it's just time for a break for me after 12 months of enjoyment.

  • That's the problem with MMO's in general, they have a way to suck you in and it makes the game turn into a chore more then anything and I feel like I am stuck in that state myself. With daily activities and weekly activities, they engineer it to make sure you are pulled into to do those things to make sure you are not missing out on the rewards. This is especially true of the special heroic missions that give way to the exotic quests like the Paradox exotic quest (No Time To Explain) or the Last Rites heroic mission (Black Spindle). They try to find ways to keep you hooked and it can be a hard slump to get out of even if you don't necessarily like the game as much as you used to, especially these days with the numerous issues the OP pointed out.

  • Felt this same way when doing the exotic sword bounty. It felt like something I HAD to do vs just fun

  • Same here. I played almost every day since day one. But I'm finally bored with it. Best mechanics of any pve shooter I've ever played, hands down. And the most fun I've had with online friends. But, I don't really feel the need to keep trying to progress past 310, especially since raids are too much effort and time consuming to get into. With Fallout 4 arriving today, I'm quite excited to jump into something totally new. Not to mention other games I'm stoked for, AC Syndicate, Need For Speed, maybe Battlefront, maybe BO:III... Point is, Destiny was my only game for over a year, but I'm just ready for something new. I took a week off for a business trip, and I haven't got back on yet. For what? To do some chores to slowly level up a bit more? Maybe the grind finally got to me. Plus, sometimes I just want to play solo so I can talk with my girlfriend while I'm playing. I'm not always trying to be mic'd up with a group, and that's the only way to progress after level 305 or so...

  • Enjoy fallout mate, tempted myself. Bit of a warning in case you've not noticed yet, there are quite a few dickheads on the forum giving out plot twist spoilers without any warning. Hopefully you'll avoid them and get to enjoy the game.

  • Feel exactly the same. Didn't touch the game in 3 weeks. Playing Halo 5 right now and I am excited for Tomb Raider. The only time I see myself logging on right now is to catch up with some friends.
