I don't agree with any of this.
I get that work changed for you, and you may have been ignoring real life things because of the game, but I'm not sure what any of that other stuff has to do with anything.
It's a game.
You play it.
Then you go live life.
Wasting time worrying about what Bungie "did to you" makes no sense to me. They made a product, you dislike it now. Happens everyday. If your expectations were something else, that's a bummer, but maybe just play the game and don't worry about tomorrow?
There are so many "experts" on the gaming industry here. I don't know how all of you don't just get on with it and make your own game. You all seem to know how to do it.
Should be a killer game.
All weapons unlock immediately.
All weapons are "exotic" and have AWESOME rolls.
Armor? Try permanent God Mode.
All DLC, and heck, the GAME, is free of charge.
Raids will all be beatable solo, and available day one.
The loot will be top notch for everyone, every time.
No one will ever die in PvP mode, because everyone is awesome.
Bosses will kneel at your presence.
There is one currency, and it will be maxed at all times, you know, so you don't have to grind for it.
The story will consist of 30 hours of cut scenes, starring Hollywood's finest, and when pieced together will be nominated for an Oscar.
All free, and all super awesome, I'm sure.

With a name as "TheBigChicklet" I am not surprised that this person missed the entire point of this post. I agree with this post 100% - as there is no complaining about the mechanics of the game but rather the deployment and updates of their product to make the game "better". In actuality the TTK made it fun for a while, not better. Better would have been not nurffing weapons that people complain about (because they don't know how to use them). Better would have been to ascend all of our 1st year gear to match new deployments / expansions. Better would have been to add matchmaking to all game modes. (Quite easy w/ using checkpoints as join option). I don't know, it may just be the small community of us that have grown bored and tired of this game and it is what it is. Perhaps Fallout 4 will offer a more intriguing story and overall awesomeness.

What you don't seem to understand, is that Bungie capitalizes on a player's gambling addiction. The RNG is designed with this goal in mind. I understand that other MMO's do this, but any MMO that does this, has the work and content to keep players around. Destiny doesn't. EVERYTHING, that a person did in Year 1, became utterly meaningless when TTK dropped. Everything. The whole thing about Destiny, was grinding for loot, beating the hardest bosses, becoming legend... which Bungie just said F*CK you all, we want more money. Also, have you even SEEN the comments made by DeeJ in the update last week? Players are asking Bungie to screwing them in regards to weapon parts, and DeeJ responds by blatantly mocking them. And you support Bungie.

There is plenty of content for my schedule, and I've saved ALOT of money by not "needing" another game. Aside from the DLC for Destiny, FO4 is the first game I've bought since LAST September. I was averaging two new games a month. You do the math. I'm satisfied, so I'm... Lesser? If Destiny didn't have the guise of "permanence", no one would have cared. It could have just been like Mass Effect, where you carry over choices. Here, you still have access to EVERYTHING from year one. Will it help you advance in the new stuff? No. Because it's from Y1. But if you want to roll through VoG with your Fatebringers and Gjallahorns, go for it. You don't even have to change the disc, or load up the old game. How many guns have you transferred from one year to the other in other "annualized" games? What's that? How many? HOW MANY!?!?
