Wow. The response to this post has been amazingly in favor of the OP's points with only a few nit pickers or trolls. Whenever you see a post like this, 99% of the responses are "bye felicia" or "STFU and GTFO". This goes to show the community slowly is starting to reach a consensus on the longevity of this game and bungie is running out of track fast. I used to be a defender of bungie and destiny. For the past month I've been on the fence on whether I felt defending them was justifiable. After last weeks weekly update and deej's snarky attitude towards the uproar stemming from the weapon parts nerf, I am no longer on the fence and I can no longer defend bungie. So some people have "too much" weapons parts? How is it that this impacts the game in a negative way? It doesn't and people are smart enough to understand that it doesn't but instead they treat us like idiots and say its for the betterment of the game in general (more like the betterment of bungievisions pockets by keeping people grinding). Things like this as well as time-gated exotics are simply attempts to artificially extend the games lifespan. The sting of waiting would be lessened if they were actually worth waiting for. People are burnt out from the endless grinding with no meaningful rewards. I remember when I first got my hands on fatebringer and being excited to upgrade and use it, and when it finally reached its maximum potential it was an absolutely amazing weapon to wield. That was your reward. An excellent weapon for an exceptional effort. Has any post TTK weapon come even close to achieving that level of satisfaction from a player? No, none have even come remotely close. SS was completely under whelming (though some of that stems from it being overly hyped by bungie and the community), and NTTE is good but not as good as I thought it should be. So to sum up, we're onto you bungie. TTK was no disaster but a carefully thought out plan to give us as little content as possible while keeping us happy and distracted by a few new features. It worked for a while but some of us can see through the BS. TTK gave us little while taking almost everything from year one away.
