What they thought would happen: We add TTK, all its content would successfully replace a Vanilla + 2 DLCs worth of Destiny.
They did happen: TTK rendered all current endgame activity worthless, which is exactly as it had been planned out, but it had unintentionally cut the endgame content in half.
They didn't just leave the old guns behind. They left the everything behind.
And with the ridiculously easy leveling up, the TTK questline starting at level 25, and the level 25 boost, it's almost as if they didn't want us to play the old content.
Destiny has bumped itself pretty badly. I'm still going to buy Destiny 2, because I have faith that Bungie can recover with a fresh(ish) start, but to be honest if they fail again then it's going to be hell.
